Voluntary Effort

As the evenings lengthen we make our usual appeal for volunteers. At the mo- ment we are preparing flower beds and replacing non thriving shrubs as some of those have not survived the winter too well. Work is needed to be done in both Corncrake Meadow and Barley Gardens on existing trees and shrubs along with additional planting. There is also a huge amount of painting to be done as winter has taken its toll on fences and gates and the first judging of the Tidy Towns Competition in early June is approaching fast.
