Waste Minimisation Survey

Gary Brady, Longford Environmental Officer has conducted a survey on the homes of Fergus and Rosie Hilliard, Ron and Ruth Charles and Ursula McGoey last year. It proved to be a great education in the area of waste minimisation and lead to savings in many areas mainly with Electricity, Heating, Water and Refuse. It was such a suc- cess that Phase 2 of the endeavour is about to start at the homes of Marie Mullen, Colm and Therese Mulligan and Kathryn and Edward Keenan . Suggestions and ad- vice as to how savings can be achieved as a result of the survey will be offered and hopefully energy bills will be reduced significantly! The objective for the future would be to survey and in turn educate, through advice from Gary Brady, every household in waste minimisation!

Any volunteers for next year would be welcomed!
